The concepts adopted were developed by six experts from UK, Germany, Australia and Italy together with Ir Dr Zulhkiple A. Bakar over a span of almost 30 years.

This Value Engineering commission acting as a task force has been promoting the advancement of these concepts and techniques in vairous countries such as UK, Germany, Australia and Italy.

Ir Dr Zulhkiple A. Bakar, based on these techniques,  have been applying these concepts with a long and proven track record in Value Engineering in Malaysia since 1992.

Now with the establishment of Value Engineering Malaysia, we would like to advance the adoption of these value engineering concepts and techniques in Malaysia.

We apply Concrete Value Engineering through Structural Design Optimisation Techniques Plus Advanced Concrete Technology.  We go deep into methods and approaches in structural analysis and structural design to optimise in accordance to British Standards and Euro Codes resulting in savings without compromising safety.  Examples are like:

• Piling–through Raft Foundations or Piled Raft Foundation with fewer piles

• Reinforced concrete for foundation, sub structure and superstructure–through optimisation

Where savings of 25%-35% in piling, foundation, substructure, and super structure is possible.  This may translate into to 10% to 15% of savings on the total construction cost.
